I struggle with about sections.
There's no such thing as Self to describe. My trying to describe my Self is what Daniel Kahneman calls 'Remembering Self' interpreting past experiences to fit the current narrative of who I think I am.
I think one thing is clear though - I take things too seriously!
I've always been interested in the nature of our existence. I read books on how to communicate with the subconscious & similar stuff since I was 12.
I was an odd kid and I still am an odd adult.
I can talk about Taylor Swift and the move on to the philosophy of consciousness. We could talk about a favourite dessert (don't ask, I like them all) and then I'll launch a discussion about conservative Jewish dating practices that we could all apply in the next relationship.
I know a little about a lot of things and I know a lot about psychology and personal growth. I've 10+ years of experience in this area.
You know the phase when the kids start asking why? I haven't outgrown that yet. But my whys always have to do with being human.
I have been coaching for a while but am currently on pause (maybe indefinitely?) until I regroup.
I started writing to share what I know and embrace my perspective of the world.
A few more things about me
🇱🇹 I speak 2,5 languages: Lithuanian and English + some Russian.
🇬🇧 I left home when I was 18 to live alone in another country.
🇮🇩 Have spent the last 5 years living in Bali and travelling around SE Asia; just moved back to Europe a few months back.
🔮 I'm very future-oriented. Most things I do are to have a better life 30 years from now.
🌏 I'm convinced we're in a simulated reality (not a simulation, there's a difference) and believe that Joscha Bach and Jed McKenna are both right about the nature of reality.
💁♀️ My close friends describe me as loving, positive, loyal, sensitive, eccentric, disciplined, honest and funny.
👼 I'm a highly sensitive person meaning that my nervous system has increased sensitivity to physical, emotional and social stimuli.
🍺 I quit drinking before it was cool.
💼 I worked as a room attendant, assistant manager, translator, event coordinator, personal assistant, marketing assistant, customer service rep, cleaner, house organiser (Marie Kondo style), business owner, investor, coach, retreat consultant and writer.
