Medium doesn't owe us anything but given that it advertises itself as 'get paid for writing', it's annoying the algorithm changed so much. Forget the $, the views are not the same as they used to be.

I find it annoying as a consumer too - I follow specific people for their specific knowledge but when I go on For You or Explore tab it's full of 💩 I don't want to read!

No matter how many times I click on show less on mAkE 5k a wEeK on MeDiUm articles they still keep popping up. And then there are publications that I follow because I'm a part of them but am not interested in everything that gets published on them.

So the authors I do follow and want to see more of, don't show up. I have to once a week go seek their stuff out. Super super annoying.
